You can cancel your order from the time it is placed.
You have 14 days, from receipt of your goods, to notify us if you wish to exchange an item or return it for a refund. After notification of cancellation you have another 14 days in which to return the goods.
I regret that I cannot cover or refund any return shipping unless the item is faulty.
Items must be returned in an unused, re-sellable condition (unless faulty) to receive a full refund.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements.
Orders should be ready for shipping within 21 days of payment. If there are any delays I will keep you informed.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Here at Birdie Bunting, we appreciate your business and value your privacy. We understand that your information is important and so we take every care in dealing with it.
I am the data-controller of your personal information as it relates to Birdie Bunting over all its platforms. When you place an order from me, either through a website, social media or in person, I will receive your name, delivery address and email address. I may also receive your username if you order through an external website such as Folksy, Etsy, AllByMama or PayPal. I will only use these details to process and deliver your order, or deal with any queries you have related to that order.
If you register for an account, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see that information.
Reviews
When visitors leave reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the reviews form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

This is to analyse who visits and how they use the site. However this data is anonymised so that neither I nor Google have identifying information on visitors.
Who we share your data with
The only circumstances in which I will share your data are in processing your order or complying with the law. I will never use or pass on your information to third parties for marketing purposes or any other purpose, other than the circumstances listed below. The circumstances in which I may share your data are:
- With website shops (Folksy, Etsy, AllByMama) to comply with my obligations.
- With delivery companies to fulfil your order.
- To comply with legal or tax obligations.
How long we retain your data
I will only retain your details for as long as necessary in order to process the transaction and I will securely store any data collected during that period. I retain personal data related to orders or customer queries for six years to conform with legal requirements. After this time I will delete your data from my records.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left reviews, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You have the right to know what personal data I hold about you, specifically how I am holding it, and to ask for that data to be changed or deleted. You also have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
Where we send your data
Visitor reviews may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How we protect your data
birdiebunting.com is hosted on WordPress. WooCommerce provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through data storage, databases and the general WordPress applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by WooCommerce and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
Order information (Customer name and item order details) is also stored off-line, not in a cloud, in a password protected document for accounting purposed. Access is only available to the data controller.
